Barons of the Ballpark
36 All-Time Baseball Greats
This list of 36 autographs — each one of them members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame — is a remarkable artifact in itself. Those contained here were named 105 All-Star Games! Among the incredible ballplayers who signed this sheet is Hank Greenberg. The original “Hammerin’ Hank” was a three-time American League home run leader before serving for four years in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. When he returned for a full season in 1946, he led the league in bombs for a fourth time. And he did it all while dealing with anti-Semitic slurs.
