Bobby Labonte

Bobby Labonte grew up racing quarter midget karts in Texas until the family moved to North Carolina to be closer to brother Terry who was racing in the NASCAR Cup series. Bobby made his first stock car start while still in high school and at age 27 won NASCAR’s second division title. Bobby and Terry became the first brothers to win the NASCAR Cup series championship when Bobby claimed the title in 2000. It was a remarkable season for the younger Labonte who also won the Brickyard 500 at Indianapolis and the Southern 500 at Darlington.
