Commissioners

Since the earliest days of professional sports there has been a need for an impartial leader who had the best interest of the sport at heart. On this sheet are the autographs of nine such commissioners and administrators. Bud Selig and Rob Manfred led Major League Baseball into the modern era. David Stern and Adam Silver oversaw the NBA’s rise to an international power. Scott O’Neil, Deane Beman and Tim Finchem were important leaders of golf tours. Paul Tagliabue led the meteoric rise of the National Football League to national obsession while Gary Bettman headed the National Hockey League for more than 30 years.
