Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods are arguably the three most legendary American golfers to hit the links. In many ways the three transcended the sport. Palmer, nicknamed “The King,” was one of the first athletes elevated to fame through television in the 1950s, bringing the game into living rooms across the world. Nicklaus, “The Golden Bear,” was ever stoic and determined. He and Palmer battled for dominance of the sport for three decades. As Palmer and Nicklaus stepped back in the 1990s, Tiger Woods took golf to even bigger heights, becoming an inspiration to millions across the world and dominating the game like no one has done since.
