Mother Teresa

Saint Mother Teresa was born in 1910 in Skopje, Albania and felt called to serve God from a young age. She moved to India and devoted her life to helping “the poorest of the poor,” the sick, and the dying in the slums of Calcutta. In 1950, she founded the Missionaries of Charity to care for those most in need. Known for her compassion and humility, she inspired millions worldwide and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She died in 1997 and was canonized in 2016.
