Roger Staubach

The pride of Cincinnati, Roger Staubach studied at the United States Naval Academy where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1963. After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, Staubach began his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 1969. In 11 seasons with the Cowboys, Staubach was named to six Pro Bowls and he guided Dallas to four Super Bowl appearances, winning two. After retirement Staubach embarked on a successful career in real estate and wrote his “Philosophy of Life” letter on that stationery in which he noted that the key was to work hard, maintain balance, use teamwork and persevere.
