Sam Snead
Sam Snead (1912–2002) was an American professional golfer, widely regarded as one of the greatest in the sport's history. Known as “the Slammer,” with 82 PGA Tour victories, he co-holds the record for the most career wins. Famous for his smooth swing and consistency, Snead won three Masters titles (1949, 1952 & 1954)and was a key figure in shaping modern golf. His career spanned over 40 years. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in the inaugural class in 1974.

Hello Scotty,
Many thanks for the swell letter. I am a little better putter than the average. Also I have gotten off to a grand start. Now if I can start playing a little better I’ll win some tournaments. I didn’t play too well at Phoenix, Tucson & Crosbys.
