Yogi Berra

Lawrence “Yogi” Berra was an 18-time All-Star, three-time MVP and 10-time World Series champion in his 18 seasons with the New York Yankees. His combination of power and defense made him one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. Berra served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and participated in the D-Day invasion, earning a Purple Heart. Berra later managed the “Ya Gotta Believe” New York Mets to the 1973 NL Pennant. He was also famous for his unintentionally witty sayings that came to be known as “Yogi-isms.” Here we find two magazine covers signed by Berra.
